Overview:
Do you possess the skills necessary to influence a major, globally diverse retail group’s cybersecurity posture? We are looking to add a highly qualified Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to our Infotec team at TFG (The Foschini Group).
An experienced expert who is passionate about safeguarding intricate corporate settings, offering network and infrastructure security advice, and spearheading secure-by-design efforts is needed for this position. You will play a key role in protecting the digital infrastructure that serves more than 3,600 shops and millions of consumers globally.

Principal Duties
You will be in charge of the following as a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer:
1. Design & Advice on Network Security
Oversee network security evaluations, such as Network Access Control (NAC) implementations, firewall posture evaluations, and LAN/WAN segmentation.
Ensure that network setups are safe and work with technical teams to improve important protocols including DHCP, DNS, and TCP/IP.
Make recommendations for design changes that will increase resilience and decrease attack surfaces.
2. Engineering for Secure Systems and Infrastructure
Oversee the safe development and setup of Linux, Windows, and hybrid cloud systems while making sure that best practices and industry standards are followed.
Provide guidance on PKI environments, identity management systems, and infrastructure modifications to improve data security and authentication.
3. Compliance & Vulnerability Management
Assist with vulnerability remediation initiatives, collaborating with groups to effectively handle high-risk discoveries.
Conduct configuration assessments for cloud environments, network devices, and servers.
Use automation techniques (such as Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell) to expedite reporting, compliance monitoring, and hardening.
4. Mentoring & Stakeholder Engagement
Make sure infrastructure projects complement cybersecurity strategy by interacting with technical and commercial stakeholders.
Encourage a culture of security-first thinking throughout IT operations by mentoring junior engineers.
Experience & Qualifications:
To be successful in this position, you need to have:
eight or more years of expertise in business cybersecurity, specializing on infrastructure and network security.
shown proficiency with wireless security (802.1X, WPA3), segmentation techniques, and network design, including LAN/WAN.
practical knowledge of NAC systems like FortiNAC, Cisco ISE, and Aruba ClearPass, as well as firewall platforms like Fortinet, Cisco, and Palo Alto.
extensive familiarity with network services and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs, and remote access.
knowledge of Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu) and Microsoft infrastructures (Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, PKI) at the advisory level.
knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), especially hybrid infrastructure and identity solutions.
competence with PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform, among other automation and compliance technologies.
strong knowledge of the controls and techniques for Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
